  • Chinese New Year Lo Hei & SteamBoat

Had the pleasure of hosting a group of Sayoni peeps for Lo Hei & Steamboat on Saturday. Was truly fun to see everyone get together and celebrate the new year. So many people turned up that we almost ran out of food at one point! Luckily it was convenient enough to go out and grab somemore food.

We had prawns, salmon, batang fish, yong tau fu, veggies, mushrooms (lots of it!), tang hoon, corn, beef, pork, all kinds of balls, chicken and even pacific clams & abalone!

The first mini Lo-Hei we did for those who had to leave before dinner

The second bigger Lo-Hei we did after dinner

Everyone trying to get a piece of the action!

The wonderful mess we had after crazily Lo-Hei-ing! Huat Ah!

All in all, we had 35 people come in and out of the doors, excluding Irene and myself. The steamboat ran from 1 pm until past midnight! Quite an achievement I would say. It was even more people than at the X'mas party and there were quite a few surprise guests. It will be a while until we have the next house party though, so it was good to see everyone coming to have fun.

This Chinese New Year has been an interesting one and definitely more colourful than the last. Hope this Moo year brings good fortune to us all!
